Expressions of interest are being sought from eligible, suitably qualified member councillors (of councils that are members of LGNSW and a policy-holding council member of StateCover) to join the Board of StateCover Mutual Limited as the nominee director of the LGNSW Chief Executive.
The LGNSW Board nominates four representatives (LGNSW Councillor Directors) for appointment to the StateCover Board and also a LGNSW Chief Executive Director (the Chief Executive of LGNSW or nominee).
To be eligible for appointment applicants must be a councillor of a council that is both a member of LGNSW and a policy-holding council member of StateCover. The appointment will be for a three-year term.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated Director experience and/or AICD qualifications, a deep understanding of local government based on sector experience at a senior level; at least five years’ senior level experience in finance/audit, risk management, business strategy, or people and culture as well as executive level experience within local government, government or corporate entities. Successful candidates should also demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in long tail insurance or the broader insurance/finance sectors and have experience as a director of an APRA regulated Board.
Applicants should understand and agree to accept the time commitment involved (approximately 25 days per year) and ongoing professional development requirements.
Candidates must also satisfy the requirements of the StateCover Fit and Proper Policy.
