Maribyrnong City Council’s Environmental Health team has been awarded the Maddocks – Environmental Health Practitioners Australia (EHPA) Award for Team Excellence & Innovation.
The prestigious honour recognises the team’s outstanding work in developing and delivering Council’s Gluten-Free Dining Program, created in collaboration with Coeliac Australia and Victoria University.
The world-first initiative supports local businesses and provides valuable guidance to the community, setting a benchmark for innovation and best practice across the sector, the Council said in a statement.
“Their dedication, creativity, and commitment to improving public health have set a benchmark for innovation and teamwork across the sector,” said Council CEO, Celia Haddock.
“This achievement is a testament to the skill, passion, and collaborative spirit of the Maribyrnong Environmental Health team.
“It’s wonderful to see their hard work recognised at a national level, and it reflects the positive impact Council teams have on the wellbeing of our community every day.”
