Engaging new platform for Moyne

Victoria’s Moyne Shire Council has launched a new online community engagement platform which it says will be a one-stop location for residents to share their ideas, provide feedback and to stay-up-to-date on major projects.

Engage Moyne launched yesterday and will allow residents to ask questions, provide their ideas and have their say on policy, procedures and to receive updates on issues that are
important to them, says Mayor, Ian Smith.

He said the new platform was simple to use and was another tool Council would use to connect with the community.

“Residents can register and create an account which will allow them to leave comments, participate in surveys, share their ideas and even upload photos,” he said.

“They will also be able to join a mailing list to receive notifications about issued important to them they care about and sign-up to follow projects to receive updates.

“Engage Moyne is going to be a great tool to keep our community informed and will form a key part of Council’s wider community engagement methods.”

Council’s Project Management Office will use the platform to provide updates on key projects, including documents, timelines and progress reports.

Community consultation on Council policy, plans and procedures will also be conducted through the platform using a range of tools like surveys, maps, image upload and comment boards.

The platform is live now at engage.moyne.vic.gov.au.
