The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) is encouraging councils to share the new Energy Innovation Toolkit with businesses and community groups trying to navigate energy regulation.
The toolkit provides free, accurate and reliable information about energy regulation through the Innovation Enquiry Service.
Soon, new energy laws will also enable the Energy Innovation Toolkit to facilitate trials of innovative technologies, products and services through temporary rule exemptions and temporary rule changes.
The Energy Innovation Toolkit website offers interactive tools and case studies to assist innovators, including an interactive regulation navigator.
AER says sharing the Energy Innovation Toolkit will encourage members of the community to make use of the Regulator’s inquiry service and get answers to questions about energy regulation and getting community projects off the ground.
