Federal Minister for Emergency Management, Kristy McBain said all necessary support will continue to be delivered for impacted SEQ communities.
“The Australian and Queensland Governments are working with all affected councils to fully understand the recovery needs of the south-east,” Minister McBain said.
“These personal hardship grants will make sure impacted Moreton Bay residents have the emergency funds required to get through this challenging initial recovery period.”
Queensland Minister for Disaster Recovery, Ann Leahy said community recovery and safety was top priority for the region.
“The clean-up from these storms remains ongoing, and our government is supporting affected Queenslanders every step of the way,” Minister Leahy said.
“Residents in activated areas of Moreton Bay can check their eligibility and apply via www.qld.gov.au/disasterhelp or by calling the Queensland Community Recovery Hotline on 1800 173 349.”
