Kempsey Shire Council has officially opened the new Baker Drive playground in Crescent Head to the public.
Council staff were joined by the enthusiastic families of Crescent Head Playgroup (pictured) to put the exciting modern park to the test.
“Families have been waiting patiently for this new play space with continual wet weather and supply chain issues halting installation after the previous ageing equipment reached its use-by date in December 2021 and was decommissioned,” Council said in a statement.
“This project was funded through Council’s 2021-2022 capital works program and is another example of Council’s commitment to a vision that our people are given the opportunities and infrastructure to build a safe, welcoming and sustainable community.”
