The City of Yarra has welcomed Victorian Minister for Community Sport, Ross Spence and Member for Richmond, Richard Wynne, for a project update and tour of the city’s soon-to-be-completed works at Ryan’s Reserve.
Council says the pavilion is the first example of a modular building method used at a sports facility in Yarra and will provide local clubs and community with much-needed facilities.Â
The Victorian Government has contributed $3 million to upgrade and improve Ryan’s Reserve, with the reconstruction of the existing four netball courts and installation of a new, modern fit-for-purpose pavilion part of the works schedule.
Council also contributed an additional $50,000 towards the purchase and installation of community infrastructure at the site.
The upgrades include:
• new change facilities
• social space, kitchen and first aid facilities
• accessible toilets and external public access toilet
• access ramps and public foyer
• additional bike racks.
