City of Busselton CEO resigns

City of Busselton Council Chief Executive Officer, Tony Nottle, has tendered his resignation.

Mayor, Phill Cronin said Mr Nottle (pictured) had been an exceptional leader, dedicating almost eight years to the City in the role of Director
Finance and Corporate Services and then more recently as CEO.

“Tony has been on the journey with us at a senior level for many years and has been instrumental in delivery of a range of successful projects and initiatives,” the Mayor said.

“As CEO, Tony has successfully led the organisation through a period of change, including recruitment of a new Executive Leadership Team following a major realignment of organisational portfolios. He has consistently provided strong support and guidance to the Council on strategic and governance matters, and we have all appreciated his dedication and commitment to making the City a success.

“We have enjoyed a fantastic working relationship with Tony since he became CEO, and on behalf of the Elected Members, I wish Tony and his family all the very best for the future and their next chapter.”

The Council confirmed Mr Nottle will remain in the CEO role until the end of his notice period.

In a statement, Mr Nottle thanked the Mayor, Councillors, Council staff and community for their support and engagement during his tenure as CEO.

“It has been a real privilege to have been given the opportunity to lead an incredible team of talented people here at the City of Busselton, and to play my part in the development of the City as it evolves and grows,” he said.

“Having spent 24 years working in local government, it is now my intention to focus on other interests outside the industry. I wish the team at the City all the very best for the future, and appreciate and value all the connections I have made through working here.”
