Central Coast Council is taking a step forward in its financial sustainability roadmap, with the replacement of its fragmented IT system with TechnologyOne’s modern, unified OneCouncil solution.
Following the move to a new generation of digital services for residents, the Council is forecast to deliver $4.2 million in savings over the 10-year contract.
On top of these savings, the Council says the productivity benefits of streamlining and automating everyday operations including Finance, Human Resources and Payroll, Enterprise Asset Management and Property & Rating will impact both the its budget and the wellbeing of local residents.
After operating for almost 10 years with a patchwork of on-premises solutions, the decision to consolidate and replace legacy systems was driven by the Council’s successful Financial Recovery Plan and confidence in its long-term Financial Sustainability Strategy.
“By transforming its current operations, Central Coast Council will reduce total cost of ownership, enhance governance and generate a single source of truth, enabling the Council to make data-driven decisions that support its vision for an efficient future. The Council will also benefit from TechnologyOne’s modern Digital Experience Platform, DxP LG, a customer-centric solution designed to enhance digital interactions between councils and their communities,” said Executive Vice President for Local Government at TechnologyOne, Ben Malpass.
TechnologyOne will take responsibility for delivering the complete solution – including implementation, operation and support – a single annual fee underpinned by TechnologyOne’s pioneering SaaS+ model, removing the risk of cost or time blowouts.
“Central Coast Council’s vision for the future is testament to its resilience and commitment to its residents,” said Mr Malpass.
“Councils are under pressure to make resources work harder, without compromising service or safety, which is why most metropolitan and regional Councils in New South Wales are now using or planning to transform to TechnologyOne.
“By adopting our SaaS+ model, Central Coast Council will benefit from faster go-live, without the risk of unexpected costs or complex implementations, enabling them to focus on the journey ahead.”
