Kempsey Shire Council has been awarded the NSW Business Chamber Aligned Award of Employer of Choice at the recent Macleay Valley Business Awards.
Council says the Awards saw organisations across the Shire come together to celebrate local businesses and acknowledge the efforts of those striving to develop the region.
Held at South West Rocks Country Club on June 19, the awards ceremony featured 25 presentations across two award categories: Local Recognition and NSW Business Chamber Aligned Awards.
In a statement, Council says its Employer of Choice award recognised its human resources and Workplace Health And Safety programs over the last two years, workplace productivity, employee satisfaction, the benefits offered to staff and its inclusive practices.
“And we are extremely proud that we have been selected on that basis,” Council said.
Council was also nominated for the Local Recognition Awards of Excellence in Tourism and Excellence in Professional Service (more than 21 employees).
“Congratulations to all highly commended and award winners, nominees, and the Macleay Valley Business Chamber on another successful awards season,” Council said.
