Boroondara paid parking reinstated

From Monday 11 January, parking limits will be reinstated across residential areas and time restricted zones near hospitals and medical centres, Centrelink offices and shopping centre car parks, Boroondara City Council has announced.

“Since relaxing our parking enforcement back in April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen the community start to open up again in recent months and demand for parking return,” a Council spokesperson said.

“With the increase in movement around Boroondara, the return of limits and enforcement will ensure vehicle turnover in high traffic areas and help maintain balanced access for all.

“Make sure you take the time to check and follow any limits or restrictions when parking your vehicle in future to avoid receiving an infringement notice.”

Paid ticket machines will also be reactivated and trader (business) parking permits will be reintroduced from 11 January.
