Expressions of interest are now open for the 2027 Braemar Gallery exhibition program, offering local artists the opportunity to showcase their work in one of the Blue Mountains’ leading community galleries.
Blue Mountains Mayor Mark Greenhill encouraged artists and creative groups to apply.
“Braemar Gallery plays an important role in nurturing the visual arts and celebrating the extraordinary creative talent of our region,” Cr Greenhill said.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for artists to share new work, reach new audiences and be part of a vibrant annual exhibition program.”
Applications are invited from Blue Mountains artists seeking to present a solo exhibition of new work, as well as local artist groups and collectives proposing group exhibitions. Retrospective exhibitions that include new work will also be considered.
Artists from neighbouring local government areas including Penrith, Wollondilly, Hawkesbury and Lithgow may also apply where their proposal demonstrates a strong connection to the Blue Mountains and its communities.
Located within the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub precinct in Springwood, Braemar Gallery has showcased artists from the Blue Mountains and surrounding areas since opening in 1988.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend an information session and tour the gallery spaces before submitting their proposal.

- Information session: 5.30–6pm, Thursday, 10 September 2026, Braemar House, 104 Macquarie Road, Springwood
- Applications close: Wednesday, 23 September 2026
- Program announced: November 2026
