Big crowds dig 10th Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo

Huge crowds have marked the 10th anniversary Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo at Sydney’s Eastern Creek, with Blacktown Mayor, Brad Bunting and Komatsu National Sales Manager for Utility, Carl Grundy, officially opening the three-day event.

Over the three days of Australia’s largest earthmoving, construction and public space expo, more than 41,00 visitors passed through the gates.

Expo management said the event’s ongoing growth and success was due to the industry’s recognition of Diesel Dirt & Turf as a key strategy in exhibitors’ annual promotional activity.

The National Diesel Dirt & Turf has grown exponentially since it was established 10 years ago and has become a popular destination for a growing number of overseas companies, widely appearing on global industrial expo calendars.

Komatsu Australia was again the Gold Sponsor of the Expo, supported by Pickles, Machines4U, Gensure, Soda Capital, Penrite Oil Company and Louise Azzopardi Coaching.

Pickles Auction always a highlight

The Pickles auction held on the Friday at the Expo is always well attended, giving industry visitors a great opportunity to secure some excellent deals.

Matt Blanch, Pickles Industrial’s NSW Sales Manager said their sixth year of featuring at the  Expo more than lived up to expectations for sales from its on-site and online annual auction. Eager buyers came in big numbers and quickly snapped up the sixty lots of quality civil construction assets on offer.

Many exhibitors time the Expo new product releases, special offers, or celebrate corporate milestones for. One example is the Penrite Oil Company, a privately owned Australian lubricants company established in 1926.

Penrite chose the Expo to celebrate its centenary by focusing on its oils and fluids for heavy equipment for the construction and agricultural sectors.

As in many previous years, a large number of return exhibitors commented on the scope and diverse interests and needs of Expo visitors. Many exhibitors return year after year, attracted by the event’s ability to deliver strong returns, showcasing equipment, technology and solutions. It also creates important opportunities building relationships and driving growth.

Diesel Dirt & Turf is family friendly, full of excitement and a great day out. It’s also an opportunity for information sharing with people who are looking for a career, perhaps looking for jobs within the earthmoving industry, or who may simply enjoy being around large machinery.

The 2026 Expo attracted all levels of the industry from owner-operators, equipment suppliers and manufacturers to training, recruitment, financial and insurance providers. With so many diverse industry participants and professional in the one place, visitors found it easy to connect with new suppliers or service partners.

Major earthmoving contractors, local council representatives, owner operators dominated the visitor numbers, recognising Diesel Dirt & Turf as a great place to connect with industry professionals, potential clients, and other businesses.

All the latest

Expo visitors flocked to see all the latest industry trends in technology, attachments, trailers, mowers and specialised vehicles, as well as seeing what the competitors are doing.

Since it was established in 2015, the Expo has proven to be a highly effective annual event for small and large businesses to keep up to date with the latest in machinery, tools, finance and much more.
