Cyber Security NSW is offering ‘Essentials’ Cyber Security Awareness training this month, available to all council staff.
Training Types
The training is tailored to three user groups:
- Essentials Standard for staff and contractors
- Essentials Plus for Critical Business Areas and staff with privileged access (such as IT administrators)
- Essentials Premium for Executive staff
Delivery Model
The three training types are available as live online sessions or self-paced online e-modules (the e-module must be hosted on your council’s LMS.
December sessions available
Councils that have participated in live training in October-November this year will find December sessions now available in the registration pages.

Register as a Training Coordinator for your Council
To roll out training at your council, you must nominate a training coordinator to coordinate with Cyber Security NSW. To register to roll out the training on behalf of your council, please complete the Expression of Interest form.
Cyber Security NSW will be in contact to share an info pack with session registration links, testing access to the e-module and to answer any training questions.
