City of Ballarat Council has announced it will deliver more than $700,000 in new partnership funding in the 2024/25 financial year after finalising the recipients of its City Partnerships Program.
In total, 15 organisations were successful in attaining funding, with more than $2 million over the next three financial years to be delivered through the approved partnerships.
The City Partnerships Program funds organisations and businesses to deliver City of Ballarat-identified priorities that provide a greater benefit to the community.
The Council says City Partnerships are for well-planned projects and programs which may occur over multiple financial years and are considered for requests exceeding $20,000.
They are designed to be awarded to well-established organisations that have a proven record of delivering relevant programs, projects, or activities.
Mayor, Des Hudson said establishing the partnerships was a great way to not only help local business, but to also work towards goals as outlined in the Council Plan 2021-2025.
“There were some fantastic applications in our second year of the City Partnerships program and we thank everybody for taking the time to make submissions,” he said.
“This year our successful applicants cover a wide range of interest areas including sports, the arts, environment, local business, and community development organisations.
“We look forward to continuing to work closely with these organisations to help them achieve our combined goals and make Ballarat a better place.”
The successful partnership applications were announced as follows:

| BGT Jobs & Training | $76,236 over three years. |
| Sports Central | $40,000 in one year. |
| Ballarat Mechanics’ Institute | $45,000 in one year. |
| Raven Collective | $40,000 in one year. |
| Bowls Victoria | $75,000 over three years. |
| Corporate Cycling Australia | $105,000 over three years. |
| The Social Crew Event Agency | $500,000 over three years. |
| Ballarat and District Aboriginal Cooperative | $30,000 in year one |
| Ballarat International Foto Biennale | $600,000 over three years. |
| Badminton Victoria | $50,000 over three years. |
