Applications are now open for the 2025 AR Bluett Memorial Award, which recognises the councils that have demonstrated the most excellence and progress over the past year.
The Award is presented in two categories:
- City and Regional Councils – this includes city, metropolitan and major regional rural councils;
- Rural Councils – this includes all other rural councils.
The two categories provide fairness and equity for all councils, while at the same time preserving the original intent of the AR Bluett Memorial Trust Deed to judge councils on relative progress.
Last year’s winners were Bega Valley Shire Council and Lake Macquarie City Council.
Gaining recognition through the Bluett Award process enables positive feedback within your organisation and community, which has an amazing impact upon confidence and culture.
The application process is streamlined to ensure all councils are able to apply. Further information including on how to apply is available online.
Entries close on 1 August. Â
