2024 NGA motions now being accepted

The Australian Local Government Association (ALGA) has announced it is now accepting council motions for its 2024 National General Assembly (NGA), to be held in Canberra from 2-4 July.

“This is your opportunity to bring the issues and opportunities you are seeing in your communities to the national stage, and for us to speak with one voice to the Federal Government,” said ALGA President, City of Sydney Councillor, Linda Scott.

“Our 2024 NGA theme is Building Community Trust, and we will be exploring the critical importance of trust in and between governments, institutions and citizens, and how we can continue to build on our reputation as trusted local delivery partner.”

A discussion paper containing essential information, and outlining the criteria that NGA motions must meet can be downloaded here.
